If you’ve ever dreamed of directly messaging Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ), there’s good news and, well, slightly less good news. The good news? You can absolutely message him directly now. The catch? It’ll cost you about 1 BNB per message and you should use a ReachMe platform for that.
The Birth of the “Pay-to-Reach” Concept
It all started about three weeks ago when CZ casually floated a simple idea: what if you had to pay a fee to send direct messages to influencers and industry leaders? CZ published his thoughts on Binance Square, and within days, a developer reached out to him with an actual working prototype. Talk about fast-moving crypto magic!
After tweaking things a bit and running a security check, ReachMe.io was officially born.
The Initial Price Was Too Good to Be True
CZ kicked off the new platform by setting his message fee at a humble 0.04 BNB, just about $24. The response was instant and overwhelming. His inbox was flooded with random greetings (“yo!”), dinner inquiries (“How was your dinner?”), and plenty of meme coin promos. CZ quickly realized that if he was going to respond meaningfully, he’d need to filter things out.

He urged followers not to waste their money on trivial messages. “I can’t reply to these types of messages,” he tweeted, politely reminding fans to save their crypto.
Price Goes Up, Spam Goes Down?
After the initial spam-fest, CZ doubled the fee to 0.1 BNB ($60), hoping to tame the influx. But the next morning, he still found over 100 new messages waiting. Clearly, more drastic measures were needed.
The current price tag now stands at 1 BNB, roughly $635 per message. CZ is aiming for a manageable 10 messages a day, though even he’s unsure if that’s achievable given his enormous popularity.
People Aren’t Reading the Manual
Despite providing clear instructions and even linking to Binance’s own communication guide on the ReachMe website, CZ noticed around 95% of people ignored it entirely. Messages ranged from overly casual to impossibly broad (“How do I run a successful startup?”). The Binance CEO humorously pleaded with users to read up on effective messaging before hitting “send.”
“Please don’t message me after you see this,” CZ joked, “I’m not sure the servers can handle it!”

Accidentally Creating More Work
The initial low fee ended up creating extra work for CZ himself. With roughly 200 messages to sort through daily, he spent considerable time replying to as many as possible. Despite the headache, CZ’s willingness to personally engage has only increased his popularity.
CZ also praised cybersecurity experts SlowMist Team, who identified a loophole that let users message at discounted rates. Fortunately, that flaw was quickly fixed, highlighting the crypto community’s swift collaborative spirit.
A New Way Forward for Influencer Communication?
CZ remains optimistic about ReachMe.io’s potential, seeing it as a practical solution to manage influencer inboxes. The platform could genuinely transform digital communication, cutting spam and promoting meaningful exchanges.
Whether CZ hits his 10-message-a-day goal or not, he’s definitely set an interesting precedent. Could pay-to-message platforms become the norm? Watch this space.
