MemeFi Telegram Game Transitions from Ethereum to Sui and Announces Airdrop Date

Just weeks ahead of its token launch and airdrop event, the team behind MemeFi, a popular Telegram-based tap-to-earn combat game, has unveiled a major transition from Ethereum to the Sui blockchain. This move, coupled with new details about the upcoming token launch, marks a significant shift in the game’s development and strategic partnerships.

Initially, MemeFi was being developed on Ethereum’s layer-2 scaling solution, Linea. However, the team recently confirmed that they are switching to the layer-1 Sui blockchain. This decision follows a newly established partnership with Mysten Labs, the organization behind Sui, to align on marketing initiatives and promote Sui’s capabilities within the broader Telegram gaming community.

MemeFi Airdrop

“MemeFi will drive Sui’s integration into Telegram like never before—the roadmap is ambitious!” read the recent announcement. “With the airdrop and in-app features, users will get hands-on experience with Sui and witness its speed, affordability, and ease of use.”

While many popular Telegram crypto games—such as Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, and Catizen—have opted for The Open Network (TON), originally developed by the Telegram team, MemeFi is charting its own course with this Sui integration. This latest development reflects MemeFi’s commitment to differentiating its path forward even as it enters new blockchain territory.

With the network change confirmed, the MEMEFI token launch is now scheduled for November 12, along with an on-chain claim process. This comes after an initial October 9 launch date, which was postponed due to necessary preparations behind the scenes.

To determine airdrop distributions, MemeFi will take a final snapshot of player activity on November 6, with allocations being finalized and shared on November 8. Meanwhile, players can preview their expected allocations using partial data accessible through OKX Wallet.

Alongside these updates, OKX announced pre-market futures trading for the MEMEFI token, allowing traders to speculate on its value within the Sui ecosystem.

MemeFi Explained

In the MemeFi Telegram game, players engage in a tap-to-earn format where tapping the screen deals damage to enemies. Each tap reduces the health of enemies while consuming player energy and adding coins to the player’s balance. This idle gameplay involves fighting meme-inspired characters, often meme-based bosses like Doge and Pepe, by reducing their health through persistent tapping. As players progress, they encounter more challenging bosses with higher health levels and earn increasing rewards.

To enhance gameplay, players can upgrade their damage capacity, energy limits, and recharging speed using the coins they earn. Special boosters, like a “Turbo” mode for extra damage, can accelerate progress. Additionally, MemeFi includes clan-based mechanics and boss raids where players collaborate with others, adding a social and competitive edge. Rewards vary by boss level, with tougher bosses providing higher coin payouts, which can be used for further in-game upgrades and to prepare for the upcoming MEMEFI token airdrop.
