Buckle up for a wild ride, folks! The titan of smooth talk and strolling beats, none other than Snoop Dogg himself, is here with his shiny, new non-fungible token (NFT) toybox that can’t help but get even more fun as the Dogg-man hops around the globe this balmy summer season.

The Snoop Dogg Passport Series – we think of it as a psychedelic poster-child of tour memorabilia that metamorphoses at every whistle-stop of our favourite hip-hop luminary. This juicy NFT, the hottest ticket in town, dishes up some behind-the-velvet-ropes content, limited-edition swag, artwork that would make Banksy envious, and an up-close-and-personal joyride with the music demigod. The tour kicks off in the maple syrup capital, Vancouver, on the lucky 7th of July.

Best of Snoop

Now, here’s the cherry on top. The gangsta rapper, also known by the more ‘business formal’ Calvin Broadus Jr., is tossing in Snoop Selects to the Passport Series fiesta – an expertly brewed cocktail of NFT artistry that’s going to be digitally parachuted into every passport holder’s collection.

“In all my career,” Snoop Dogg waxed eloquent at a press meet, “I’ve been at the forefront of the crazy, wild wave of evolution. The passport series lets my fans globe-trot with me in an unprecedented fashion. Trailblazing ain’t a hobby for me, it’s a lifestyle. And this digital merch? It’s the future, baby. Hoping my fellow artists can catch this wave and carve out their own.”

The series sprouted from a mind-meld between the Web3 platform, Transient Labs, and the talent hothouse, WME. Chris Ostoich, the COO of Transient Labs, played the mad scientist in the lab, stitching together the Snoop Dogg Passport Series.

Snoop’s Passport NFT collection

The passport? It’s waiting for you at the relatively bargain price of around $42 or 0.025 ETH, payable via the NFT piggy bank, Crossmint, or assorted crypto wallets.

Snoop Dogg and his son, Cordell Broadus, have been painting the town red in the NFT sphere and crypto investment playground for quite some time now. Hell, the Doggfather even flirted with the idea of turning Death Row Record into the “first major label in the metaverse.”

Throwback to March 2021, the Dogg outdid himself with his premier NFT collection, fittingly titled “A Journey with the Dogg.” This included a rhythmic tribute to NFTs themselves – a song named “NFT.” Additionally, he rolled up his sleeves to start building the Snoopverse, a parallel universe nestled within the 3D virtual community, The Sandbox, as of December 2021.

We go way back

With an enthusiasm that can only be rivalled by a kid in a candy store, Snoop Dogg has been enthusiastically plunging into the mysterious, matrix-like waters of Web3 for quite some time now. In a plot twist that would have Agatha Christie nodding in approval, our beloved Dogg-man unveiled himself as the undercover NFT aficionado, “Cozomo de’ Medici,” in 2021. Oh, and his digital wallet was no lightweight either, tipping the scales at a hefty $17.6 million.

However, it doesn’t end there. Far from being content with hoarding NFTs like a digital-age magpie, Snoop put his dynamic Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection in the spotlight through an electrifying tag-team with fellow hip-hop heavyweight, Eminem. The dynamic duo uncaged a new song and set the stage ablaze at the MTV Music Awards, raising the bar for iconic performances.

Dropping another bombshell on March 6, the curtain was pulled back to reveal Snoop Dogg as the secret sauce behind a Web3-driven live-streaming platform dubbed ‘Shiller.’ His partner-in-crime? Tech whizkid Sam Jones. Their mission? Fusing the cutting-edge tech of Web3 with the white-hot excitement of live-streaming content. And knowing Snoop Dogg, it’s going to be one heck of a show!
